I received a pretty exciting gift: Everlane’s Foldover Crossbody! This bag had been on my wish list since it was released, and I’m so happy to have it in my closet. When I was originally researching this handbag, I struggled to find reviews or information about it, so I wanted to write down my thoughts on it for any of you who might be interested in it! Everlane orders these leather goods from a small factory in Spain that employs around twenty people, and the care and attention to detail really shows in the finished handbag.
Minimal design + blush color = practically perfect!
I love crossbody bags. In fact, they are pretty much the only type of bag I use! I love the convenience, security, and versatility that they offer. This particular bag is designed like a large pouch that folds over. the top of the pocket has a zipper that goes all the way across, and there is also a zipper where the bag folds over making the bag very secure. It measures 14″ by 12 “, and has an adjustable strap. The interior is unlined leather, and all hardware is a beautiful soft shade of gold. The bag comes in four colors: black, bright red, natural, and navy.
I chose the natural shade, which I personally would describe as a blush pink. It’s very soft and pretty, and the perfect accent bag color to have in my wardrobe. I love the way the color pairs with the gold hardware. Speaking of hardware, all of the zippers and fixtures feel very high quality and sturdy. The leather is very soft, but after several uses I haven’t noticed any scuffing. Do be aware that the softness of the leather means that the bag is very flexible, so if you prefer something more sturdy, this may be an issue.
For the price, this bag is absolutely beautiful quality retailing for $150. Everlane states that traditional retail stores would charge $325 for the same product, and you can view their cost breakdown on the product page.
I absolutely love this handbag, and I’m looking forward to styling with different looks from my winter capsule wardrobe in the coming weeks!
